Day 7

My husband took me out tonight for dinner and dessert of my choice. It was a gesture that meant the world to me. I’m so grateful to have someone that continually dates me, even though we’ve been together for over five years and are long past the “getting to know you” phase. I can’t express how much this small gesture made such a big impact on me. It really felt like the best day in the world, even though it was just a sweet night out 🙂

YAY! That was a fun Week of Gratitude! The challenge definitely made me appreciate the little things more 🙂

Day 6

We got to go to Knotts Berry Farm today! I was so happy to go because I hadn’t been in YEARS! It brought back a ton of memories of being a kid there, I remember going around on the mine carts in Camp Snoopy for HOURS! We even got to spend some time with Jonathan’s cousin who lives out in the Philippines 🙂 It was so great to spend time with someone who usually lives so far away! It was a really sweet treat to enjoy it all together because we made new memories that maybe I will recall the next time I go to Knotts in the far future one day 🙂

Day 5

I got to clean the house a little and also sleep over at my in-laws! They bought me my favorite (Baja Fresh) and we enjoyed it together. I love being able to be close to my husband’s parents because it’s like a little retreat when we go away 🙂 (and of course we get showered with love and tasty treats)

Day 4

It means the world to me that I can talk to my husband about anything in life. Tonight we had a long conversation about something personal and I just couldn’t help thinking I felt more comfortable sharing with my husband than anyone in the world. I am so grateful to have someone who loves and listens to me without judgement, who turns bad days into days full of laughter and inside jokes. That is a rare treasure in life and I feel like I hit the jackpot 😊😊😊

Before bed my husband sat with me and watched a FRIENDS episode (my favorite show growing up). I realized how amazing it was to hear the person I love so much laugh at the show I love so much. It brought the show to a whole new level and felt like I was watching it over again for the first time! How amazing it is to share little pieces of ourselves with someone we love, and to hear their laughter echo the exact feelings we feel. (Wow, does that even make sense? I feel like this is super deep in my head but I’m not sure if it’s coming out right.)

Anyways, I’m super grateful to have the things I love in life come together. I’m so happy I have a partner who can still enjoy things that were more popular when we were younger years ago. It makes life feel so complete!
